Seasons Greetings From The Andersons

I love the warmth of December. (In most places) it's cold outside, but people bundle up and scurry around buying presents and drinking hot drinks. There's nothing cuter than little ones dressed in puffy coats zipped up to their chins wearing snuggly hats and mittens? We light fires and visit family. There are big hugs and rosy cheeks. It might be cold out now, but my heart is full of warmth.

Grace and I were fortunate enough to get to visit my family in California. We survived the dreaded cross country flight and arrived to a blanket of snow.

Side note: I brought my 2-year-old's car seat, iPad and Stroller. It was a lot of gear to haul around, but it worked out perfectly on the flights. I also bought a handful of new little toys for her and a ton of snacks!

The best part of being home was seeing my daughter interact with my parents. I could tell how much they loved spending time with her, and trying to interpret what she's saying. I think they found it hard not to give her whatever she wanted. ;) She loved the horses, unlimited apple juice and chocolate milk, playing tug-o-war with "Payzer," and eating apples out of the bowl on the counter.

We took Grace to see her first movie in a theater- Frozen. It was super cute (and in 3D!). Grace ate popcorn for the entire movie, so I think she really liked it!

We also drove up to my parent's new mountain house. After 20+ years in their Cool house, I couldn't be more excited them to have a beautiful new pad. They deserve it, and we loved getting the chance to enjoy it with them and see our friends, James and Jessica!

Snow much fun (aside from getting sick!)
We decided not to take Grace to see Santa this year. I'm pretty sure it would have resulted in another tearful photo. Fingers are crossed that next year she will want to go see the big guy on her own.

It's hard to believe that this will be Grace's THIRD Christmas! I am so thankful for our loving family, supportive friends and the ability to see the joy of Christmas through a child's eyes.

PEACE, LOVE & JOY
from the Anderson Family!
